Terrell Homestead Conservation Area
The 87 acre Terrell Homestead Conservation Area is located in southwest Nashua. The property includes a mix of forest, fields, and wetlands, and at least one vernal pool. This property provides habitat for a wide variety of wildlife. It abuts the City’s 231 acre Yudicky Park and is just north of the 350 acre Dunstable Rural Land Trust conservation land. The property includes a network of trails with access from the Nashua River Rail Trail parking area on Gilson Road.











Southwest Trails: Buckmeadow and Lovewell Pond
The 181 acre Lovewell and Buckmeadow Conservation Areas are located in southwest Nashua. These properties include a mix of forest, fields, and wetlands. Lovewell Pond, a glacial kettle hole pond, is surrounded by a type of bog known as a Fen.
A 400' boardwalk traverses the wetland at the eastern edge of the property. This property provides habitat to a wide variety of wildlife. It abuts the City’s 231 acre Yudicky Park. The property includes a network of trails with parking on Main Dunstable Road.








Joyce Park Wildlife Sanctuary
The 12 acre Joyce Park Wildlife Sanctuary is located in central Nashua. Salmon Brook runs through this property as it makes its way to the Merrimack River. This property provides habitat to a wide variety of wildlife, including many bird species. A trail traverses the north side of the brook with access from Ingalls Street.

Northwest Sanctuary
The 387 acre property includes a mix of forest and wetlands and is adjacent to the 112 acre Audubon Society of NH Farley Meadow Sanctuary and a 42 acre Society for the Protection of NH Forests (SPNHF) property. These properties protect the Pennichuck Brook watershed and provide valuable habitat for a variety of wildlife. This property overlooks Pennichuck Pond where osprey and bald eagles can sometimes be seen. Trail access is off Farley Road.
